Reading My Name Challenge 2010

When: January 15, 2010 - June 15, 2010
*Slightly Different from Last Year*

Your challenge if you choose to accept it is to read at least two books by authors that share your name or part of your name OR book titles with your name in them. They can share your first name, middle name or last name. They can share your nickname or online name or email name. They can share a form of your name. If you have a very rare name, just do your best to get as close as you can. (e.g. If your name is Raina, then Rain or Rayne would be okay.) The character can have the same name as you too.

For example, my real first name is Kathleen. I could also read books by a Kathy, Katherine or Katie as these all come from the same name. Even Cathy, Catherine and Catie. I could read a book by a Callista (online name) or someone who shares my middle or last name. Or any of those names in the title.

That's five months to read two books. To join please comment below. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do and you post about the challenge, please leave a link in the comments. You don't have to make a list beforehand, you can just make a post stating your intention to participate.

After the challenge has started, come back here to post a link to your review.

If you have any questions, please ask in the comments. Thanks.

Noner....

Searching Amazon I found:

Author Winona LaDuke
Winona's Web by Priscilla Cogan
Winona: A Tale of Negro Life in the South and Southwest by Pauline Elizabeth Hopkins
Don't Forget Winona by Jeanne Whitehouse Peterson
A New Home for Her Cubs by Winona Rasheed
Winona's Pony Cart by Maud Hart Lovelace
Winona Ryder: Biography by Nigel Goodall (and other Winona Ryder books)
Wheezing Winona Weatherbee by Tolya L. Thompson et all.

There are so many books in the world, finding ones with your name isn't the hard part, it's finding ones you are interested in reading. But there is also your middle or last name or any other online names or anything similar.

Those are a lot of options to find a book to read. Actually, I already have a book I plan to read by Sharen Skylar - my real first name is Sharen. I really don't need another challenge, but....

I'm in! What the heck!

Thanks for hosting. I like challenges like this!

Alleluialu... Thanks for joining! The first time I ran the challenge I had too many people say they couldn't do it so I widened what was acceptable. I hope you have fun!

I saw Winona's Web on amazon, and our local library has it (if they still have it next time I get a chance to go out)
